A virtual consultation is an opportunity to talk with one of our audiologists about your tinnitus by secure video, from home or wherever suits you. It is a conversation rather than an appointment for testing or treatment. Our virtual consultations are straightforward to join and easy to follow. Here is what to expect when you schedule one with us:
- Scheduling and Intake: You choose an appointment time and complete a short questionnaire beforehand. This covers your tinnitus history and how the sound is affecting you, so your audiologist can review it before the call begins.
- Joining the Appointment: We send a private link by email. At your appointment time, you open it on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. There is nothing to purchase or install, and we can help you set it up by phone beforehand.
- Describing Your Tinnitus: Your audiologist will ask what the sound is like, when you first noticed it, whether it affects one ear or both, and how it changes across the day. These details matter, and they help direct the assessment that follows.
